This is it! We officially launched our new Montreal Food Tour. It has taken us at least six months of research, practice and tastings, tastings, tastings, to finally offer this new walking tour. Here is what you can expect from this Montreal Food Tour:
1. Montreal’s best Falafel! Organic, local and vegan.
We start the tour at The Green Pantern, which has pretty much become an institution over the years. The Panthère Verte has wonderful ambience and is in the heart of Mile End district.
2. Locally and respectfully raised meat and cheese. Super Tasty and Vegetarian Friendly!
Our Neighbours, The Boucherie Lawrence are fantastic (Our offices are situated few meters from them). The owners are working very hard to offer great products that are rare and difficult to obtain. The decoration and vibe inside is also pretty cool.
3. Fairmount Street – A true human scale square
A Montreal Neighborhood Intersection Morphs into a Wonderful Public Space from Streetfilms on Vimeo.
Have a look at the video above, it describes the changes that have happened on Fairmount Street. This is all thanks to the Mayor Luc Ferrandez who implemented all these great changes! Such as adding benches, colors and bicycle lanes.
4. Mile End’s Secret Back Alleys
You can count more than 500 back alleys in Montreal. All of them are very unique and truly interesting to visit. The ones we visit in our tour display a little bit of Montreal history and stories.
5. Mind-Blowing ice-cream, Montreal’s best summer desert
We always visit Kem Coba during the summer. Unfortunately, they are closed during the winter. Their ice creams are crazy good! The two owners are a couple who decided to start a ice-cream shop after they travelled to Asia.
The Part 2 of the tour will be written in a Second Article. Stay tuned!
