Local Montreal Tours offers exciting tours that explore the coolest neighbourhoods in Montreal.
We invite you to experience each neighbourhood through a series of delicious food tastings of only the best of Montreal’s classic food institutions as well as the new, hip eateries. Sustainable tourism philosophy
We practice a sustainable tourism philosophy where we ensure that each restaurant we visit is paid fairly for the great food they serve us, and that the wait staff receives proper gratuities for their service.
We keep our tours small (maximum 16 people per tour) which won’t overcrowd the street or overwhelm our tasting locations. We believe that our forward-thinking strategy will sustain an incredibly positive relationship between us, the restaurants, and the local residents.
Our philosophy ensures that our participants get the best experience possible. Finally, we carefully select only the most passionate and friendly local tour guides who can answer all your questions and give you the best tour possible.
Behind Local Food Tours
Local Montreal Food Tours is a company founded by Ismael Ulvik and Frederik Nissen to create a food tour that defines Montreal and the province of Quebec as a unique gastronomic destination.
Frederik Nissen is also a community organizer behind innovative projects such as Givebox, Restaurant Day Montréal and Héros du Karaoké. Ismael Ulvik, meanwhile, is a passionate entrepreneur whose values revolve around tourism and community generosity.
