Old Québec City Food Tour – Tasting Locations
- La Buchette – We start the tour with a 2 course appetizer made off a local mushroom called Lion’s Mane and Duck breast carpaccio
- La Bûche – For the second location we are served a 3-course tasting: Québécois pea soup, pâté chinois, and maple taffy.
- BEClub Bistro – Step into a 200-year-old house for a unique experience, and find out if you’ve got enough room for their Bistro style Brisket, mashed potatoes, vegetables, gravy. Adult + Alcohol tickets receive a local wine ( 2oz glass) selected by the sommelier.
- Épicerie Québécoise – Chez Boulay At this stop we taste a traditional Québecois dessert called “sucre à la crème.” And why not have a bite at the best Croissants in Québec City?
- Maison Livernois – Taste the most notorious dish in Quebec City: poutine! Adult + Alcohol tickets receive a Québécois gin pairing.
*On Sundays and Mondays, when BEClub Bistro is closed, we visit Bistro Hortus, a local classic, where we enjoy a plate of lobster bisque along with a glass of white wine (2oz glass). Non alcool tickets receive a mocktail.

Each stop is its own unique foodie universe: from a rustic sugar-shack style experience to a gin distillery, historic monastery and traditional French bakery! The food tastings you’ll enjoy are enough to fill you up like a hearty, satisfying lunch… so be sure to bring your appetite! Some examples of the bites are: a delicious twist on traditional Québécois pea soup and pâté chinois, a bistro style Brisket, mashed potatoes, vegetables and gravy., croissants, maple taffy, sucre à la crème… and more! WEATHER
Runs rain or shine, snow or even in extreme snowstorms! (40% of the tour takes place indoors). We highly recommend you bring appropriate clothing for the winter season and sun protection in the summer.
SPECIAL FOOD REQUESTS
Please note that the Mile End Food Tour includes vegetarian, lactose intolerant and vegan options during the summer season. The Mile End Food Tour is unfortunately not gluten free friendly in it’s current version. Please be advised that the food substitutes for the gluten free option are mostly not available on this tour.
ENOUGH FOOD?
If you’re an early bird, we suggest you have a small breakfast before coming. If not, you can also skip your breakfast and come directly to the food tour.
SALES DEADLINE
Tickets must be purchased before 10 AM on any given tour date. We recommend booking your tickets in advance as most of the tours tend to sell out.
PARKING
The number of paid parking spots is limited in the streets of Old Quebec. There is also underground parking available at City Hall. More information will be sent in your booking confirmation email.
