Local Food Tours that let you enjoy the best craft beers or local foods
This unique district's historic buildings, narrow streets, and flourishing foodie scene make it a mix of exciting elements to taste and discover. Plus, the Old Port of Montréal offers unparalleled views of the city and the St. Lawrence River, especially from the decks of Bota Bota. As you tour public squares, landmarks, and eateries, our passionate and knowledgeable local guides introduce you to the culinary scene locals love so much, all while revealing the stories behind the surrounding network of historic sites. With all the benefits of a traditional food tour, the Old Montréal Food, Drink & Spa Experience also takes you to Bota Bota, a spa on the water, for a chance to unwind, relax and rejuvenate as you allow all of your experiences of Old Montréal to soak in. Topping off this enriching experience with a VIP trip to the spa ensures you leave the Old Montréal Food, Drink & Spa Experience with a clear mind, full heart and of course, a full stomach, too!
We conduct our tours with a sustainable tourism ethos, aiming to disrupt daily life in the community as little as possible while ensuring equitable wages for all of our tour guides.
1. Crew Collective & Café - We begin the tour at one of Montréal's historic banks, and enjoy a delicious smoked salmon bagel at the spectacular converted cafe and co-working space.
2. Cookie Stéfanie - This local gluten-free bakery offers us their personal favourite treat: gluten-free carrot cake.
3. Modavie - Next, join your group at one of the best tables in Old Montréal and partake in a classic French onion soup at this elegant restaurant, paired with a 3 oz glass of Red Wine for Adult + Alcohol ticket holders
4. Maison Christian Faure - This local institution offers us the chance to taste one of the best macarons in the world.
5. Bistro-Brasserie Les Soeurs Grises - This brewpub was named after Montréal's historic Grey Nuns, giving us a chance to dive into Québecois culture with local beer and home made poutine. Adult + Alcohol ticket holders also receive a 4 oz Craft beer pairing
6. Bota Bota - Top off your tour experience with a visit to an incredible spa on the water (located 5 minutes away) where you'll have the chance to enjoy their water circuit featuring hot and cold installations, relaxation areas, and even outdoor water features!
One-of-a-Kind Food Tastings — This 3-hour guided walking tour brings you on a culinary voyage through Montréal’s historic district. There, you’ll have the chance to discover both traditional contemporary culinary creations at five different tasting locations, three of which are sit-down restaurants. These stops include one brewpub serving local craft beer, a local gluten-free bakery, and a café serving a classic Montréal bagel topped with smoked salmon. On this tour you’ll get to savour traditional Québécois food while you discover and savour Montréal’s history, too!
A Historic & Cultural Experience — While walking through the narrow cobblestone streets of Old Montréal, relax and take in its old-world charm. Old Montréal is an excellent example of the city’s English and French heritage, which we discuss and observe by visiting various important landmarks. Our local guides share their first-hand experience of these cultures, infusing each tour with a personal touch. They will tell the stories behind the Old Port, Notre Dame Basilica (we do not enter the church), public squares and more. Throughout the tour you’ll get a sense for how Montréal’s historic tales have shaped today’s city and its vibrant cultures.
An Exclusive Spa Experience — Following the tour, you’ll have the chance to head over to Bota Bota, a picturesque spa located right on the water of the St. Lawrence River, 5 minutes away from the final tasting stop. There, you’ll be treated like a VIP and get to skip the line with your pre-paid ticket, opening up a world of relaxation and wellness. The spa’s water circuit is spread around the decks of a boat, including outdoor installations, where you cycle through the healing circuit of hot, cold and relaxation. The boat is a silent zone offering an ambiance of complete zen and tranquility while in the outdoor gardens you’ll find several baths, a steam room and sauna where you can have a quiet conversation. Your ticket gives you access to the spa for 3 hours, but you can stay longer if you wish at an additional cost.
For an effortless spa experience, bring your own bathing suit and sandals (though both can be purchased at the spa), as well as a re-usable water bottle and a plastic bag for storing your wet bathing suit after your visit.
Adult Tickets are $124.99 CAD + $ 3 CAD ticketing fee and applicable taxes, Adult Tickets + Alcohol are $138.99 CAD + $ 3 CAD ticketing fee and applicable taxes
